We get a behind-the-scenes look at the evolution of the toolbox being used to sculpt one of the biggest multiplayer shooters of 2007.
Due to a printing error in the April 2007 issue, pages 30 and 31 were mistakenly re-run where pages 40 and 41 were supposed to be. As a result, our Infernal preview was run twice and our Enemy Territory Quake Wars story not at all. We sincerely apologize for the error. It's rare that much attention is given to the story in a multiplayer shooter. It's the kind of thing that's routinely ignored by developers and players alike -- we just want to get to the fragging, and developers know it. At best, maybe we get a few paragraphs of backstory to explain why everyone's fighting.
