Storyline importance in gaming New Blogg post at SD Myspace

It's rare that much attention is given to the story in a multiplayer shooter. It's the kind of thing that's routinely ignored by developers and players alike -- we just want to get to the fragging, and developers know it. At best, maybe we get a few paragraphs of backstory to explain why everyone's fighting.

ETQW mentioned in GWF podcast

This podcast has some interesting statements from the guy that got to play the game. For instance: "One thing is that they insisted that it's actually slower than Quake III by quite a significant margin, but when you're used to playing Battlefield...Quake Wars is faster than hell."

The official Enemy Territory: Quake Wars site has a new beta sign-up page. Right now it doesn't seem to work since we don't know where the security codes come from, but we will find out soon enough.

Activision Game Release Calendar – ET: QW Release Date

While the release date for Enemy Territory: Quake Wars remains unknown, Activision has announced that it will be sometime in the Winter/Spring of 2007.
